the awesome sunset is what i see out my lovely balcony window. this evening it's a denim blue, fading to a light almost aqua into a grayish blue, into a light yellow, into a nice almost deep yellow-orange sky.
i'll miss that.
yesterday i went to megan's and chilled with rachel, sandy, and megan.
quite amusing.
rock band is really fun. the drums are super fun.
kucios and christmas were nice.
kucios we had at our house as always. it was nice. dede jonas, teta zita, and muti and tukas came over. the food was decently edible. i got some pretty neat stuff.... chopsticks, tshirt, keychain, hello kitty calendar as always.... it was nice. i like kucios a lot. unwrapping the gifts from under the colorfully decorated christmas tree one by one so we can see what each person got. it prolongs the evening just enough.
christmas morning we opened our santa gifts. as usual. went to church. came home. made muti and tukas bored. haha. tukas even wanted to go watch tv but i don't think he could figure out how... he was back within like, two minutes. then we ate some really yummy food.
viktorija got a really awesome weather station from teta zita. can't wait for it to get set up and used in the spring.
kind of not looking forward to the forever drive out to california in just a short twelve-ish days.
especially since i shall be driving one of the cars.
kind of not looking forward to sharing a room again. i did enough of that with the fifteen or so years with viktorija.
kind of not looking forward to the cloudless skies.
the plain sunsets.
the monotonous weather.
oh well.
as my mom puts it... it'll be an adventure and interesting and exciting.
we'll see what happens.
i don't want to be there forever.
i don't think i could take it.
unless something changes for me.
at least i'll have andrei there.
i'm not moving alone.
i'll have the sun.
at least viktorija is driving out with me. then flying home after a week or so. that'll make it easier.
it's surreal.
really? seriously now? california?
i've wanted to live there for so so so long... but now that it's happening, i'm not so sure.
i'm probably just not ready for it. not ready to leave my room. my comfort zone. my life. my home.
but for now, i'm going day by day, enjoying it. trying to stay happy and pleasant. if i don't it'll be even more difficult.
new year's eve. a night of sitting around the house, eating random foods like my mom's awesome seven layer mexican dip and drinking carbonated grape juice champagne style till we explode. watching the local news channel's countdown show. i like it that way.
oh well, eh?
it'll be ok.
i'm sure i'll be happy. for a some of the time... hopefully most of the time.
