The Adventures of Andrei and Kristina: I

May 12, 2007

I’m writing this on the 24th, so its not as detailed as it could be, but anyway….

The Adventures of Andrei and Kristina: I

We couldn’t really come up with anything to do, the day was cold, and we were bored at my house with the intention to go somewhere.

My dad was online trying to find something in the area to do.

Nothing sounded too interesting. Tree museum? Umm, sorry, not so much.

So we left and started driving towards Michigan.

We stopped at New Buffalo, MI to go to Oinks for some ice cream. Yay! Yum!

Then we kept on going.

And going.

And going.

We drove up to St. Joseph and walked around a little bit, sat at the beach a little bit. It was pretty cold though, so we decided to get back into the car and drive some more. We drove on the road as close to the lake as we could get. At some points you could see the water through the trees. There was this chunk of road where there was absolutely no town like area… just houses. Then we got to a town and tracked down the beach. We were all the way up in South Haven. We sat in the car in the beach parking lot to watch the sunset, then started the two hour drive back. We tried to find some food in New Buffalo/ Union Pier, but it was 10pm and all of the places had just closed up their kitchens. We then proceeded back to Chicago to get some food. After food, we went back to Andrei’s house, then he drove me back to my house.

It was a pretty driving filled half a day, but it was really nice to just drive.

I really wish we could have driven even more. Just went somewhere, anywhere, to see where we would end up. So I wouldn’t have to go home.

That would be so cool if we could some day just take a few days and just drive and see where we end up. Who knows, we could potentially find the coolest little town ever.
