wow, those cicadas are getting kind of annoying.
anyway, its nasty hot and humid, but not quite so bad that i would feel like exploding and just doing nothing all day or retreating to the basement. i really hope if the weather decides to get like that, it will do so while i'm in california.
my only issue is that it's psycho hard to go to sleep when its this uncomfortable warmth and humidity. and when it takes too long to fall asleep, i start to think about random anythings and then even if i could, i can't sleep because i'm thinking too much. last night, well this morning i suppose, i didn't get to sleep until sometime after 4. it was ridiculous. seriously now.
its even too warm for me to go outside and just sit there and read.
so i've been inside pretty much all day other than getting viktorija from school and then a little bit ago my mom had me go outside to pick some flowers/foliage to put in a vase to put on the table, but that resulted in probably the saddest looking bunch of flowers i've ever seen. they don't even match or look good in the slightest bit.
i also today took a bit and read through on the usfsa (united states figure skating association) website their little guidebook on how to start and run a collegiate figure skating club. it sounds like an insane amount of work and planning that i don't even really need to do- especially since the whole concept is kind of aimed at the skaters that are at the junior and senior level and don't want to let up on their training or qualifying competitions. so, then i remembered about the isi (ice skating institute). that's the one i used to be part of when i used to skate. the last competition i was in was in march of 2002. but anyway, they're more geared towards the more recreational skating and being more for fun rather than all for the competitions and going to regionals, nationals, world's etc. as the usfsa is. and that's the organization that orland works with. so, i'm thinking i'll just do that, see what happens, maybe do some competing, the orland ice show, i have no idea. but i do think that i'm actually going to do this again finally. we shall see.
for lunch i had a sandwich and some tortilla chips and afterwards i felt like i ate a million pound full out dinner. argh. that's why the only real meal i eat over the summer is dinner.
spaghetti tonight by the way. i really don't feel like eating it though. good thing its not for another 3 hours at least.
i wish it wasn't so warm/humid outside. bleh. ooh, well at least next week it should go back into the 70's.
hmmm, what else... i really don't know.
i want to go shopping some more. its not that i find shopping itself particularly fun, i just like getting new clothes and new stuff sometimes... and now happens to be one of those times.
yesterday i went to the filene's basement in orland. i really like that store. they have a ton of really nice clothes, sunglasses and what not for really really good prices. like i tried on clothes that were originally like $25-100+ and none of it cost more than $50 there.
then i went to old navy, tried on a bunch of stuff, it was cute, but it just didn't feel right, so i didn't buy anything there. i decided that from now on, i'm only going to buy stuff that i absolutely like a lot. like, i put it on and just go, hmm. nice! :) otherwise, its not worth it.
unless of course it's 'athletic wear'. that stuff i just feel awkward in, so i can't really only buy stuff based on my 'nice!' system, because pretty much none of it will be bought. ever. so yeah.
oh, and i totally decided that i feel more comfortable in my stuff i wear to ballet class or even a skating dress than i did when i was trying on 'athletic' shorts, most of the pants, and some of the jackets. of course though, i would never wear ballet or skating stuff in public unless i was skating or dancing, but as i see it, athletic clothing was made to sport-ify in, not to wear when you're doing other everyday things, unless, like, you have to run to a store real quick before or after sporting out.
anyway, so i like my new system of clothes buying. it'll keep me from getting stuff i'll never wear and/or lower quality items. i will definitely be going to filene's basement more often though.
i'm getting kind of sick of the black nailpolish. i think the mood for it has left me. i want pink back, but this stuff isn't chipping yet, so i'll leave it for a little bit longer.
stupid st. francis needs to email me back. i want to know what's up for next year. i'm going to see if i can get classes on mon wed fri only again. that was really nice. that way i can use the other days for (working perhaps?), homework, and skating.
so, yeah. i'm kind of out of things to say right now.
