fun stuff.

the past few days have been pretty nice.

there were a few days, like last thursday through saturday that i spent at andrei's. we finished up moving all his stuff to his new apartment and doing some shopping for it (target, grocery store, and ikea). saturday evening, into the night (aka. finished at 1am or so) we cleaned and finished emptying the old place. i ended up with the lovely task of patching the millions of holes andrei left in his bedroom walls from shelves and then repainting the walls of the room, which shouldn't have had to be done but the old asian man landlord is kind of a nut, so we did... well i did for him. then some random cleaning out was done of stuff. like all of this totally random kitchen stuff had to be packed up. and then while andrei was taking some stuff over to the new place i washed the kitchen... stove, counters, stove hood, fridge... it was so dirty. it took something like... forever. then. finally. it was done.

ha at ikea he bought an area rug for the living room, a coffee table, and a bookshelf. oh and two chairs for the dining room. the area rug and coffee table look so nice. and they're totally in proportion to the size of the room. and they're cool looking. so yeah.

monday night i went over there and we built his ikea furniture. haha, we had a race to see who could finish builing their chair first. i totally won. :D (he would have won though.... lol, we both messed up on the same part, had to take it apart, put it back the right way, then when we got to the part where you put on the seat of the chair he was like, one screw ahead of me and those were all of those bent metal ikea only screws. the seat gets put in with a screwdriver. so when he went to look for it, i saw it first and took it, finished the last ikea screw, then finished the chair first. bwahaha.)

yesterday, we went with my mom to lighthouse place outlet mall in michigan city, indiana. that was yet another very nice day.
andrei bought a boatload of clothes (like 2 button down shirts, a polo, and 2 pairs of jeans from hollister, and a matchy-matchy white sports outfit from nike (yich), and a watch and a pair of shoes... and probably more, who knows.
i got a skirt from hollister, olive green cargo capris from gap, and a purse, watch, and sunglasses from fossil.
then afterwards, we stopped at this ice cream/custard place in new buffalo, michigan (or maybe its union pier, i dunno) to get my uncle some ice cream since he likes it, then we went to his house, ate pizza, and then their friend came by just random with some cheesecake, so my uncle put together some dessert of the ice cream we bought, a few chunks of cheesecake, and some strawberries from their garden in little individual dessert dishes for us. yum! i had quite a nice time there for the most part, which is becoming a pleasant trend for visits to my uncle's.
we got home at like, 10 or so.

oh, HAHA. so on this one turn we were taking somewhere on the way to my uncle's house, (my mom was driving) (it felt like we were going to fall out the window almost since the 'lil green honda does not take turns all too well), my mom was going kind of fast for going around the turn and there was a car next to us, going fast-ish as well. and i go "whatcha doin'?" and she responds with "racing...". HAHAHA! it was hilarious. she said i distracted her. and that she was going to win.
oh my goodness, i laughed so hard it hurt. it was soooo funny.

"whatcha doin'?"
-"racing....."

LOL!

yep. that's kind of it right now.

i leave next thursday for california.
so weird.
so sneaking up on me.
kind of surreal that i'm actually going somewhere. for so long. lol. 6 weeks is a long time. shush.
